Factory / Hunter Class 1000 Yard Match Results







HARRY JONES will follow this match with a Milk Jug Challenge
AND
A Pop Can Challenge






Match will be 2 Relays on paper targets - 6 minutes for unlimited sighters, 10 min. to shoot 5 shots on target for record, per Relay.

Factory guns may have any Scope, be glass bedded, have adjustable factory triggers, and may be equipped with muzzle brakes.   Hunter class guns may not have benchrest stocks.

No one piece rests "no lead sleds", No flat bottomed benchrest style stocks.

Rifles with clamshell brakes may be asked to shoot from end benches.




* Plaques will be awarded for Highest Average Score and Smallest Ave. group in both classes.
MOA awards for groups of 10" or less.

March 31st


  There were 13 shooters and a few spectators who came out on a cold morning to attend the match.


  Winning the Factory Class Group was Chuck Weatherholt who shot a two target total of 14.284 inches.   Winning the Factory Class Score was Joe Laskarin with a total of 93.

  The Hunter Class Group Winner was John Blaker with a total of 20.669 inches.   The Hunter Class Score went to Jay Cunningham with a total of 77.  


  Plus, There were 6 Factory Shooters who received Awards for shooting a Group of 8 inches or less in a relay.  


  Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to all who came out for the match.  





April 28th


  There were 18 shooters and a few spectators who came out for the Match. The strong wind presence had it’s effect keeping the groups big and the scores low, but it was still a good shooting day to be at the range.


  Winning the Factory Class Group was Ken Swiger shooting a two target total of 17.445 inches.   Winning the Factory Class Score was Jack Jones with a total of 80.

  The Hunter Class Group Winner was Will Watkins with a two target total of 27.090 inches.   The Hunter Class Score went to Gary Munson with a total score of 81.  


  Plus, there were two Factory Shooters who won MOA Awards for shooting a group of 8" or less in a relay.  


  Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks for all who came out to shoot and watch today.  





June 24th


  We had a record 22 shooters and a few spectators who came out for the Match.


  Winning the Factory Class Group with a two target total of 14.580" was Ken Swiger.   Winning the Factory Class Score was Joe Laskarin with a total of 91.

  The Hunter Class Group Winner was Ed Berint with a two target total of 15.079 inches.   The Hunter Class Score went to Scott Whitehare with a total score of 92.  


  Plus, there were three shooters who won MOA Awards for shooting a group of 8" or less in a relay.   Factory Class Shooter Mike McDougal shot the smallest group of the day which was 5.401".


Several people were also successful at the Milk Jug/Pop Can Challenge.   Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks for all who came out to shoot and watch today.  





July 29th


Sunday, July 29th was our final Factory/Hunter class 1000 Yard Match for the year.   There were 14 competitors who shot in the match.

Winning the Factory Class Group was Joe Laskarin with a two target total of 11.087".   The Factory class Score winner was Jason Drew who shot a total of 94.

The Hunter Class Group went to Chuck Weatherholt with a 19.457"   and   winning Hunter Class Score was "Bulldog" (Gary) Fluharty with 88 & 1-X.


Shooting the smallest group of the day was Gary Munson with 5.169".


Plus,   There were 6 shooters who won MOA Awards for shooting a group of 8" or less in a relay.


Several people were also successful at the Milk Jug/Pop Can Challenge.   Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks for all who came out to shoot and watch today.


We had a good season and thank everyone for coming out to support and enjoy our sport.






2017 Matches May 13th, June 10th, July 15th and August 19th with Registration at 9:00-9:30 am.

Match starts at 10:00 am.

HARRY JONES 2017 Milk Jug Challenge


After the FACTORY / HUNTER CLASS 1000 YARD MATCH,   We will be holding the first ever Harry Jones Memorial 1000 yard milk jug challenge following the match.

10 shots, 10 minutes, 1 water filled milk jug.

Entry Fee is $5 for match participants and $10 for those not shooting in this match.

Stickers will be awarded for successful shooters.

May 13th


The Factory and Hunter Class Shoot Winners;   Factory Class Joe Laskairn with a Score of 88 and Group of 20.822.   The best Group Winner was Chuck Weatherhold, with a 17.530.   Hunter Class Winners were; Score Roger Hornick who shot a 91.   Gary Munson shot best Group with a 17.001 Average.   Small Group of the day was shot by Ken Swirgart 5.742.   Harry Jones thanks all the shooters for coming out.


We had a 1000 Yd. Milk Jug Challenge Match and 17 shooters hit the jug.






June 10th


We had 19 Shooters competing today. The Winners were;   Ed Bearint winning the Hunter Class Group with a two target total of 16.123". Gary Munson won the Hunter Class Score with a two target total of 93.   Winning the Factory Class Group was Chuck Weatherholt with 16.322" and Factory Class Score went to Ken Swiger with a total of 86. The smallest group of the day was shot by Factory class shooter Chuck Weatherholt with a 5.181".   Harry Jones Memorial thanks all of the shooters and spectators who came out to enjoy the day.


We had a 1000 Yd. Milk Jug Challenge Match and 17 of the 19 shooters were successful at the Milk Jug Challenge.







July 15th


The Winners were;   Roger Hornick winning the Hunter Class Group with a two target total of 16.039". J. Cunningham won the Hunter Class Score with a two target total of 87.   Winning the Factory Class Group was Ken Swiger with 15.401" and Factory Class Score went to Jack Jones with a total of 90.   Harry Jones Memorial thanks all of the shooters and spectators who came out to enjoy the day.


We had our 1000 Yd. Milk Jug/Pop Can Challenge Match and had 19 shooters.

The Winners were;   Gary Munson winning the Hunter Class Group with a two target total of 14.185". Ed Bearint won the Hunter Class Score with a two target total of 92.   Winning the Factory Class Group was Jack Jones with a 2 target agg. of 14.740". (Jack shot one target with a group measuring 2.172" which sets the club record for Factory gun. The target was shot with a Savage model 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor.)   Factory Class Score went to Chuck Weatherholt with a 2 target total of 88.   Harry Jones Memorial thanks the 13 shooters and spectators who came out to enjoy the day.


There were 8 shooters who received MOA awards.   Plus, several shooters were successful in the pop can/milk jug challenge.
